Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor – London-based Council
£25.74 PAYE / £34.00 Umbrella/Deemed (Inside IR35)

3–6 month ongoing contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor to join a London-based Council on a contract basis. You will be responsible for carrying out property inspections, diagnosing repairs, and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
Conduct property surveys and diagnose repairs, defects, and maintenance requirements
Apply extensive knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates codes when scoping works
Record survey data using PDA devices and other IT systems
Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of works
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and council standards
Prepare reports and maintain accurate recordsRequirements:
Proven surveying experience within housing repairs and maintenance
Extensive knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates
Experience using PDAs and strong general IT skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Full UK driving licence desirable
