Job Title: Technical Account Manager

My client is a leading IT Managed Service Provider delivering high-quality IT solutions, support, and strategic guidance to our clients.
Role Overview:
You will be the primary technical contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships, understanding their technical needs, ensuring service delivery, and identifying opportunities to add value. Although not commission-based, you will be expected to recognise gaps in client provision and recommend suitable solutions aligned to their IT roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
* Oversee client accounts, renewals, and service delivery.
* Coordinate with internal teams to deliver IT projects successfully.
* Provide strategic technical guidance aligned to client objectives.
* Identify service improvements and enhance client satisfaction.
* Produce regular reports on account performance.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* 3+ years in technical account management or similar IT role.
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Customer-focused approach with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
* Ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Knowledge of virtualisation, servers, end-user computing, and mobile devices.
* Understanding of networks, firewalls, switching/routing, and vendors (HP, Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
* Awareness of monitoring/management tools, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Willingness to self-learn and keep up with industry developments.
* Knowledge of AI and automation.
* Understanding of ISO and ITIL standards.
