Security Officer
Location: Tring | Employment Type: Full time | Hours: 4 on, 4 off, days and nights 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00 | Pay: £13.00 per hour.
Join Our Team as a Security Officer! We are seeking a reliable and proactive Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. The role includes monitoring premises, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring that security protocols are upheld at all times.
Responsibilities
* Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
* Conducting regular patrols and monitoring premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism
* Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
* Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed
* Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns
* Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required
* Adapt to different client sites – no two days are the same
* Respond calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
* Work as part of a diverse, supportive team

Requirements
* Current DS SIA licence
* Proven experience in a security role or similar position
* Strong observational skills with ability to identify and respond to security threats
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high‑pressure situations
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
