Responsibilities:
1. Maintain good workshop loading and prioritize repairs based on customer and business demands.
2. Minimize trailer/truck downtime by identifying economical repair methods.
3. Carry out inspections, services, and repairs to high standards, complying with all legislation and company guidelines.
4. Manage workshop systems and processes effectively.
5. Promote safe, tidy, and hazard-free workshop practices in line with EHS policies.
6. Manage staffing levels, holiday requests, and workshop workload.
7. Control overtime according to maintenance needs.
8. Process paperwork accurately and promptly.
9. Identify warranty and goodwill opportunities.
10. Analyze maintenance trends and report to management.
11. Ensure vehicles are operated legally and in accordance with company policies.
12. Deliver high customer service levels and uphold company values.
13. Identify business opportunities and promote them to managers.
14. Ensure staff adherence to Mobile Van Policy and PPE usage.
15. Follow health & safety policies and report concerns.
16. Undertake necessary training as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Experience in workshop management is advantageous.
* Qualified technician with City & Guilds 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent, with trailer repair experience.
* Customer and team-focused with professionalism.
* Experience managing a team is a plus.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and communicative.
* Organized with good attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and confidently challenge when needed.
* Analytical skills and data interpretation are advantageous.
* Computer skills and admin experience.
* Valid driving license.
