Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Our friendly and inclusive primary school in the Ashford area is seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to lead one of our brand-new specialist classes.
This exciting role involves teaching a small group of four children, ranging from Year 1 to Year 3, all of whom are currently working within the EYFS developmental stage. The children have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory processing differences, and the school is committed to providing a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment tailored to their individual strengths.
The class benefits from a soft start to the day to help pupils transition calmly and confidently into learning, and the ideal candidate will be confident using a TEACCH-style approach to support communication, independence, and routine.
You will work closely with a skilled team of Learning Support Assistants and the school’s SENCo to deliver highly personalised learning experiences. The successful teacher will have a creative and flexible approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of how to support pupils with complex needs in achieving small-step progress.
