As our Credit Portfolio Lead Analyst, you’ll be the strategic expert on motor finance portfolio performance. You’ll design and oversee analytical frameworks across the credit lifecycle, ensuring resilience through changing economic conditions. Acting as a trusted advisor to Executive stakeholders, you’ll translate complex risk insights into commercial strategy that drives sustainable growth while staying fully aligned with our risk appetite.

What will your day look like?
1. Design and manage the end-to-end portfolio framework, integrating predictive and prescriptive analytics.
2. Develop advanced risk segmentation and machine learning models to identify growth opportunities and emerging risks.
3. Oversee stress testing, scenario modelling, and early warning systems to ensure portfolio resilience and capital adequacy.
4. Define analytical standards for FCA compliance, Consumer Duty, and fair outcomes across all credit models.
5. Advise and influence senior stakeholders, translating complex risk data into actionable commercial strategy.
6. Lead cross-functional initiatives, audits, and high-impact projects while maintaining robust risk governance.
What do we expect from you?
Essential:
7. Extensive experience in Credit Risk and Portfolio Analytics, influencing high-level business strategy.
8. Deep understanding of macroeconomic drivers and credit performance (Arrears, PD, LGD, EAD).
9. Strong ability to persuade and influence senior stakeholders in complex or high-pressure situations.
10. Expert knowledge of UK regulatory requirements, including FCA rules and Consumer Duty, applied in analytics.
Desirable:
11. Proficiency in SAS, SQL, or Python, with experience building scalable analytical frameworks.
12. Specialist knowledge of motor finance, including residual value risk and vehicle depreciation cycles.
