Morson Technical Services is currently seeking a Wildcat Base Maintenance Aircraft Structural Technician on a permanent basis, based at RNAS Yeovilton.
About the Role
Our Wildcat Base Maintenance team performs 300 hourly zonal maintenance checks on a fleet of 62 Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters. Over a 17-week cycle, teams strip, clean, inspect, and rectify aircraft to ensure they are ready for deployment. Our qualified engineers work a day routine, fault find, replace components as needed, and ground run aircraft before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform aircraft structural repairs and related tasks.
* Hold authorizations to at least the minimum level required by WMS, including signing off within your trade group (limited to aircraft structural repairs and related tasks), as detailed in OP 1103 and individual Record of Engineering Authorizations (REA).
* Maintain technical currency and authorization through ongoing training and reading disseminated information.
* Carry out aircraft structural repairs and related tasks as directed by WBM Structures Supervisors/Inspectors, following published procedures and instructions.
* Observe authorized tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) during repairs and tasks.
* Operate hangar facilities as directed.
* Ensure FOD clearance and check the security of the dispersal area.
* Manage administration and maintain the working environment.
* Be prepared to work towards achieving an NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Minimum of 3 years aircraft manufacturing or repair experience.
* Proof of experience is required.
