About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Management Accountant on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a CIMA-qualified or part-qualified finance professional who enjoys hands-on reporting, month-end processes, and supporting a busy finance function across multiple entities. You'll play a key role in delivering timely, accurate financial information while supporting process improvements and collaborating across the wider Group finance team.
What You'll Be Doing
Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts for a small subsidiary
Post manual journals from source data
Conduct P&L reviews and perform balance sheet reconciliations
Complete and challenge balance sheet reviews for various Group entities
Analyse overheads, including accruals and prepayments
Branch Accounting Support
Support accounting and reporting for branches of the main trading entity
Collate revenue and cost-of-sales data from multiple sources
Review information for completeness and accuracy
Provide clear, reliable reports for internal stakeholders
Spend Analysis
Analyse specifics spend categories for the Group
Review data from accountants across multiple entities
Collate, interpret, and present Group data to aid business decision-making
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
Assist in preparing statutory accounts
Liaise with external auditors
Support with VAT return preparation and submissions
Complete Office for National Statistics (ONS) returns
What Good Looks Like
Timely and accurate reconciliations every month, with issues resolved proactively
Consistent analysis across entities and periods
Evidence of improving processes, challenging current ways of working, and driving efficiency
About You
Qualifications
CIMA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent), with relevant experience
Experience & Skills
Strong management accounts and month-end experience
Confident with reconciliations, journals, and variance analysis
Ability to handle and analyse data from multiple sources
Strong communication skills and stakeholder confidence
Proactive approach to improving processes and challenging the status quo
