The opportunity
As a Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data within our organization. You'll develop and implement data quality standards, processes, and best practices to maintain high data quality throughout the data lifecycle.
Your expertise in data validation, testing methodologies, and quality assurance techniques will contribute to the successful delivery of data-driven initiatives, enabling us to make informed decisions and stay compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to establish data quality criteria and provide guidance on best practices, tools, and technologies.
What you'll get up to
* Designing and executing data validation strategies, including profiling, cleansing, and transformation to identify and fix data quality issues.
* Conducting data quality assessments and audits to ensure standards are met and identify improvement areas.
* Creating dashboards and reports to monitor data quality metrics and trends.
* Collaborating with data engineering teams to implement automated data quality checks and monitoring processes.
* Performing root cause analysis for data quality issues and proposing solutions.
* Assisting product teams with test plans, cases, and scripts for data transformation validation.
* Staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in data quality management and recommending innovative solutions.
What we need from you
* Proven experience as a Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
* Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
* Proficiency in SQL and data querying for validation and testing.
* Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Airflow, or Matillion is ideal.
* Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and data governance frameworks.
* Solid understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data modeling.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
* Effective communication skills for collaboration and explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory compliance is a plus.
* Professional certifications like Certified Data Management Professional are a bonus.
The role offers a blended work environment between our Central London office and home, with an expected 50/50 split. Occasional visits to other locations are fully reimbursed.
