Responsibilities
* Managing the efficient routing of the fleet across 12 recycling centres and 4 transfer stations throughout Nottinghamshire
* Managing and updating driver rotas to meet service requirements and operational changes
* Managing EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance, investigating and actioning any infringements
* Scheduling vehicle servicing, MOT and LOLER inspections to ensure continuous fleet compliance
* Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance paperwork and drivers' hours
* Conducting vehicle gate checks and driver worksafe observations
* Delivering toolbox talks and safety alerts to the driver team
* Conducting daily driver debriefs and undertaking investigations using internal systems
* Carrying out regular weekly site visits to allocated transfer stations
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience working within a fast-paced transport or logistics environment
* Strong working knowledge of transport legislation including EU Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph management
* Full, clean driving licence
* Experience managing Category C and C+E drivers
* Proven ability to manage fleet compliance and vehicle maintenance scheduling
* Strong organisational skills with experience maintaining accurate transport records
* Category C+E (HGV Class 1) licence desirable
