Salary:
£50,000 - £65,000 + car allowance
Do you want to join a growing H&S consultancy, specialising in manufacturing, engineering, and construction with an enviable client base ranging from start-ups to multi-nationals.
This is a newly created role to support my client’s growth strategy. A hybrid role with frequent travel to client sites and offices. They have a true partnership with clients, acting as an extension of their internal H&S function.
Your role will be twofold: Firstly managing the team, allowing the Directors to focus on client development and secondly, providing their client base with a high standard of consultancy services in a front-facing, hands-on role. They offer H&S consultancy services, building and developing management systems, policies, and procedures. Certification support, H&S training, PUWER, H&S support for construction projects, CDM advice, permitting, site inspections, accident/incident investigation, environmental support, business improvement/strategic support for clients.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Day to day management of the team and the client base.
2. Assist clients with the development of a H&S Management System. (Policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work, etc).
3. Conducting construction site inspections and providing detailed reports of findings with recommendations for the client to implement.
4. CDM Advice Managing designated client base. Including recurring appointments, document reviews, updates, etc.
5. Provide H&S training to clients.
6. Conduct accident investigations and assist with any RIDDOR requirements in conjunction with the client.
7. Assist the client when dealing with enforcement agencies. (HSE, Local Authority, etc)
Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:
* NEBOSH Diploma (GradIOSH affiliation) – ideal standard
* Experience within: Consultancy, manufacturing, construction, FMCG, engineering, FM, renewable energy
* Extensive experience of management systems
* Lead auditor qualification – 45001
* Working knowledge of key components within the construction and manufacturing sector; CDM regs, SQE, relevant legislation, PUWER, Contractor control
* Excellent interpersonal skills, dynamic
* Ability to problem solve
* Credibility – Comprehensive knowledge of H&S
* Ability to build and nurture client relationships
* Commercially minded
