Maintenance Supervisor - North Yorkshire - £53,000
Continental shifts (4 on 4 off) – day shifts only. Senior position.
I'm working with a leading food manufacturer near York who are looking to bring an experienced maintenance supervisor to lead the team. This is a well‑invested, technically demanding site with a strong continuous improvement culture, and they need someone who can lead from the front managing the team, driving standards and keeping the operation running at its best.
The shift pattern is continental, four on, four off (days). You'll be hands‑on with an electrical or mechanical discipline, working within a PPM schedule alongside reactive breakdown activity.
What the role involves
* Leading and developing the on‑site maintenance team
* Planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems
* Permit‑to‑work control and safe systems of work including LOTO
* Driving continuous improvement activity using lean tools and techniques
* Identifying efficiencies to improve output and workflow
What they're looking for
* Experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment
* Familiarity with CMMS platforms and OEE principles
* Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
* A practical continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to drive change
