Location: RCN Scotland HQ, Edinburgh (Hybrid working) | Salary: £36,705 - £41,466 pa | Contract: Fixed Term until 31 May 2026 | Hours: 35 per week

About the Role
You will support our Communications & Public Affairs Team in developing and delivering a campaign for the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections. Your role will involve member, media, and stakeholder communications, aiming to position the RCN as the authoritative voice of nursing and to reflect our members' views and priorities. Your audiences include RCN activists, members, the media, politicians, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop messaging for social media and digital platforms.
2. Write content for our website and press releases.
3. Engage with journalists and media outlets.
4. Support and coordinate events related to the campaign.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in communications or public affairs, including media relations and digital campaigns.
* Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
* Interest in healthcare, news, and current affairs.
* Strong research, planning, and writing skills to communicate complex information clearly.
* Ability to work effectively in a busy team, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
