About the Role:
The School of Education sits within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. We are a growing School with a diverse course portfolio. Our Undergraduate provision includes Working with Children, Families and Communities, Early Childhood Studies and Primary Education Studies. Following our successful accreditation from the Department of Education, we have developed the first new BEd (Hons) Primary Education with QTS in the sector for 30 years.
We are looking to recruit either a Senior Lecturer or a Senior Lecturer Practitioner to our Initial Teacher Training team.
As a Senior Lecturer you will bring experience in primary schools, a passion for training the next generation of teachers in the Eastern region and a commitment to developing your own research portfolio.
As a Senior Lecturer Practitioner, you will be an experienced school-based practitioner. You will bring current experience in primary schools, a passion for training the next generation of teachers in the Eastern region and a commitment to maintaining your own currency of practice to inform course and module development.
In both roles you will teach on the new BEd Primary Education with QTS course on our Chelmsford campus, upskill as a Lead Mentor under the new requirements for ITT and support school-based training for trainees. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting and busy ITT offer.
