Overview of Role
The Hygiene Team Member will ensure high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across the site. Responsibilities include cleaning facilities and equipment according to ABSS requirements, maintaining safety standards, and working a rotational shift pattern (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights, 12-hour shifts). Key Responsibilities
1. Adhere to daily schedules and meet hygiene standards.
2. Assist in achieving departmental KPIs.
3. Follow instructions, training, and guidelines from the hygiene department.
4. Inform Hygiene Controller/Coordinator of completed tasks.
5. Identify and report potential food safety risks and hazards.
6. Manage workwear deliveries and assist in waste reduction efforts.
7. Maintain site cleanliness, including perimeter and facilities.
8. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor machines.
9. Work flexibly and assist pest control to minimize pest activity.
Person Specification
Must follow safety procedures, including risk assessments and PPE use. Demonstrate safety-first attitude, comply with health and safety legislation, and understand COSHH regulations. Be proactive, share best practices, and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
