As Shift Manager you will support the management team to deliver consistent results, ensure the store is the best place to shop and work, and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.
Key Responsibilities
Maximise Profit
* Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for our customers.
* Play an active role in the store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales.
* Deliver on all agreed actions set by your line manager.
Engage, Develop & Retain Great People
* Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
* Support team engagement in your store.
* Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
* Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up‑skilling the team.
Doing The Right Processes And Doing Them Right
* Complete actions set by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk focusing on what the customer sees.
* Maintain a positive approach to service, both in store and at the doorstep, always aiming to be the best place to shop.
* Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
* Play your part in providing the best digital service through implementing all “One Best Way” processes.

Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
* Effective communication with every colleague to deliver store tasks the first time, every time.
* Plan and organise the shift, using every member of the team.
* Provide balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
* Set the pace of the team on shift by being hands‑on to deliver a great store.
