Secondary School Attendance Officer Based in West Bromwich, Sandwell£15 - £16ph Your new companyA busy Secondary School with over 600 pupils is looking for an Attendance Officer to join its dynamic team. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8 am - 4 pm. This is a potential temporary to permanent role for the right candidate. The role is to start in September 2025. Your new roleThe school are seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join a vibrant and inclusive school community. * Monitor daily attendance and punctuality records
* Follow up on absences with parents/carers via phone, email, and home visits
* Work closely with pastoral teams and external agencies to address attendance concerns
* Maintain accurate data and produce regular attendance reports
* Support the implementation of attendance improvement strategies
What you'll need to succeedYou will have previous experience in a school or educational setting (preferred) with strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
