We are looking for a Lead Area Development Chef to join our team to manage an efficient and effective relief service in accordance with standards and statutory regulations. The Lead Area Development Chef will be responsible for the provision of quality seasonal food in a contemporary style in line with the CH&CO brand whilst maintaining all standards of quality, food hygiene and health and safety. The role may involve working on a shift basis as required by the business and covering units within an allocated region.
Responsibilities
* Manage an efficient and effective relief service in accordance with standards and statutory regulations.
* Manage a team of 5–6 direct reports.
* Work on a shift basis as required by the business and cover units within an allocated region.
* Create, own and manage a personal development plan.
* Take full accountability for the food provision in the relevant site.
* Fully understand the CH&CO brand in terms of food and food service.
* Manage an efficient and effective relief operation in accordance with client requirements.
* Strive to continually exceed client expectations and provide an excellent relief service.
* Develop future budget planning and delivery in collaboration with Operations Manager for the relief team.
* Keep up to date with COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.
* Act as a resource to the Company Chef and Food Development team.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Be comfortable with area responsibility.
* Passionate about leading, coaching, developing and training a team.
* Happy to assist with presentations and client events.
* Contract catering experience would be highly desirable.
* Ideally NVQ Level 2 or above or equivalent qualification.
