We are building the next generation of our card issuing platform. We prioritise security and reliability over everything else, and we are looking for engineering managers to join us to in our mission to deliver a modern, scalable and effective platform.
Required is a passion for engineering and how software should be built along with a focus on innovation and building amazing products for customers that make a difference.
We are looking for Engineering Managers to provide technical guidance and oversight of our teams, and to take accountability for delivering features into production. You will be working in a multifacted and agile team, and working in close collaboration with peers.
We expect a standard level of experience from all candidates. You must have experience in leading agile scrum teams. You will have great knowledge of either C# or Java, and you have expertise in microservices.

What You’ll bring
We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:
• Validated leadership of software engineering teams developing microservices in C# or Java. A capable leader, people focused able to set and bring others together in pursuit of an engineering strategy.
• Expertise in cloud development. We develop natively for both C# and Java and deploy into Azure.
• Can operate at scale. We have 10 sprint teams, with dozens of delivery targets for 2024. You will be able to juggle contending pressures and will prioritise quickly and clearly.
• We operate a ‘you build it, you run it model’, and you will be able to lead a team of engineers writing, deploying and supporting code.
• Well versed in modern software engineering and agile autonomous teams.
And would love you to know or learn:
• Experience in a FinTech environment, developing App for financial services clients and the associated understanding of security requirements.
• Azure, in particular PaaS based services.
• Event-driven Design, and Event Sourcing
