Job Opportunity: Procurement Role
An exciting opportunity to join the procurement function of a non-for-profit organization. With offices in Southend and Thurrock, this role can be based at either location and offers hybrid working arrangements.
The role profile can be tailored to suit the candidate's experience, whether at a junior/procurement support level or at a more specialist/officer level. This position is suitable for a Buyer, Procurement Officer, or Manager seeking to leverage their experience or an aspiring procurement professional looking to develop their skills further.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure group procurement deals deliver the best value for the organization.
2. Identify opportunities for procurement improvements and realize benefits.
3. Achieve value targets and cost improvements for the business and departments.
4. Track performance of procurement deals and demonstrate value achieved.
5. Review and negotiate supplier agreements.
6. Produce monthly reports on procurement activities and benefits.
7. Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, providing coaching and advice on procurement matters.
Candidate Requirements
* Part CIPS qualification is preferred but not essential.
* Proven ability to develop effective working relationships through strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent negotiation skills.
* Experience in supporting procurement of goods and services, with a track record of delivering savings against budgets.
* High-level verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously with scope for development within the procurement function.
