Manufacturing Engineer
Location: North Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm / Friday 8:00am-1:00pm (39 hours)

The Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and improving production processes, supporting new product introductions and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise manufacturing processes
* Create and maintain work instructions, build manuals and process documentation
* Provide hands‑on technical support on the shop floor
* Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and support first‑off builds
* Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reduce waste
* Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
* Work closely with design teams to ensure manufacturability
* Support quality inspections, audits and root cause analysis
* Assist with tooling design and process development (moulds, jigs, fixtures)
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards
Experience & Skills Required
* Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment
* Background in process improvement and NPI
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
* Comfortable working in low‑volume, high‑complexity manufacturing
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
