We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that puts ambition, belonging, and real pupil progress at the heart of everything they do. Their curriculum is knowledge-rich, carefully sequenced, and built to support not just academic success, but personal and social growth too.
This is a school that genuinely believes every pupil can achieve, especially those with SEND.
What makes this school stand out?
* A knowledge-rich curriculum designed for lifelong learning, not just exam results
* A strong focus on academic, personal, and social achievement
* Clear commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and character development
* High expectations for all pupils, with targeted support for SEND and disadvantaged learners
* A culture where reading, language, and confidence are actively developed across the school
* A leadership team that values structure, clarity, and staff development
The role

* Work closely with the Headteacher, governors, and external agencies
* Support and guide teaching staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching
* Oversee and develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and EHCP provision
* Drive effective CPD, helping staff feel confident supporting a wide range of needs
* Champion a culture where students with SEND feel valued, included, and supported to succeed
What we’re looking for
* Qualified teacher with SENCO experience (or working towards the SENCO qualification)
* Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice
* Confident leader who can support, challenge, and inspire staff
* Someone who believes in high expectations for every learner
* A collaborative approach, with great communication skills
* Passion for making a real difference in students’ lives
