We are seeking to appoint a committed individual to work as part of a dedicated team of inclusion staff, alongside the Vice Principal of Deep Support. The ideal candidate will support children whose education is at risk and help families improve access to learning. We serve a diverse and sometimes challenging community, but one with immense potential, and we need someone with integrity, innovation and drive to work with and support families to maximise educational opportunities.

Will you join us in making sure more students attend and realise the value of an outstanding education? This is a key role and an integral part of the academy’s journey towards excellence.


Responsibilities

* Lead two attendance officers and an attendance assistant to engage students and their parents/carers where attendance is a barrier to learning.
* Work with the Outwood central attendance team and the academy to support families in understanding and valuing a top-class education.
* Collaborate with school staff to implement attendance strategies and track progress.


Qualifications and Experience

* Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience of working with children and families and with other agencies, preferably within an education welfare setting.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
