Overview
An opportunity has arisen to expand our Security Team at our Tameside site on an eight month fixed term contract. The Security team provide the first point of contact for all staff, patients, carers, professionals and other visitors. This team is an essential part of the processes that maintain safety at the unit.
Working shift patterns between 7.00am and 7.00pm including weekends and Bank Holidays. We are seeking to recruit someone with an approachable and supportive nature, capable of managing and de-escalating situations appropriately. The role demands a calm manner and an organised approach to work. The role is varied and busy as well as challenging. The nature of the role demands the ability to think on your feet, make quick decisions and deal effectively with unexpected situations. During a response incident you may be required to witness and accurately document incidents in line with Trust Policy.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
* Provide first point of contact for staff, patients, carers, professionals, and visitors.
* Manage and de-escalate potential incidents with a calm and professional approach.
* Think quickly, make informed decisions, and respond effectively to unexpected situations.
* Witness and accurately document incidents in line with Trust Policy during response scenarios.

* Identity verification

* Disclosure and barring service (DBS)/Criminal record check (dependent on role)
* Professional registration and/or qualification check
* Occupational health assessment
* Employment history and reference validation
All applicants external to the NHS will be required to provide their HMRC employment history to cover the most recent three years employment. This information will be used to validate employment history and references as part of pre-employment checks.

What happens when pre-employment checks are complete?
Recruitment will liaise with you and the hiring manager to arrange a start date for your new position. You will then be booked on to a Trust Welcome Session and be sent your Pennine Care NHS Terms and Conditions.
