Permanent vacancy - Group Health and Safety Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00
Salary: 30,000 - 45,000
Location: Kirkintilloch
Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their busy team. We are seeking an experienced individual who can manage this role to the highest standards. Responsibilities:
* Maintain strong knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation
* Experience in safety, health, environment, and quality management
* Experience in preparing and conducting ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 audits
* Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization
* Self-motivated and able to manage own workload
* Attention to detail
* Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
* Proficient in PC literacy, Microsoft Office, and online portals
* Maintain strict confidentiality
* Provide excellent references
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Prepare for annual audits
* Complete site-specific RAMS and COSHH assessments
* Arrange and oversee training courses, ensuring all training is current
* Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement follow-up actions
* Compile Construction Phase Plans and Traffic Management Plans
* Conduct Risk Assessments and prepare Method Statements
* Manage subcontractors
* Oversee office health, safety, and fire management (first aid kits, extinguishers, fire alarms)
* Address H&S questions and queries
* Conduct H&S inductions for new engineers
* Hold H&S meetings and toolbox talks
* Induct new staff and subcontractors
* Update portal compliance (Constructionline, Safe Contractor, Avetta)
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of health and safety experience
* CSCS certification (desirable)
* IOSH membership or willingness to achieve
* Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate
* Full driving license
* Experience with ISO 9001 (desirable)
* Experience with ISO 14001 (desirable)
* Experience with ISO 45001 (desirable)
* Awareness of CDM 2015 regulations
* Experience in preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Experience in preparing COSHH Assessments
