Onboarding Manager

At the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), we're actively shaping the future of energy by supporting the Sizewell C project—our once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver clean, low-carbon energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years.
We're looking for an experienced Onboarding Manager to oversee the vetting and onboarding of all staff, workforce, and supply chain personnel, ensuring they meet the highest compliance standards required to work on this landmark 3.2-gigawatt power station.
This role will require frequent travel to Civil Works Alliance locations in London and Suffolk.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the onboarding process across multiple locations (Bridgwater, Suffolk, London)
2. Oversee the Workforce Information Management System (WIMS) and ensure accurate data management and compliance
3. Collaborate with HR, recruitment, and delivery teams to forecast workforce numbers and streamline induction processes
4. Develop and maintain onboarding and compliance procedures to meet client and regulatory requirements
5. Manage a team of onboarding specialists, supporting their development and delivering training
6. Analyse data and reporting to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
7. Maintain strong relationships with the supply chain to ensure ongoing compliance
What skills & experience are we looking for?
* Proven experience managing onboarding or compliance teams, ideally within large or complex projects
* Strong understanding of data management, confidentiality, and GDPR requirements
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with process writing, compliance auditing, and competency frameworks
* Confidence in using data analysis to improve operational efficiency
