We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen at a thriving pub in the heart of Dorset.
As Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, creativity and the highest standards of food quality. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and skilled chef who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys creating dishes that showcase the very best of local produce.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading and coordinating all kitchen operations as an experienced Head Chef
* Designing menus using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients
* Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to exceed customer expectations
* Managing kitchen staff including rotas, training, and performance
* Overseeing all kitchen administration including ordering, stock control, and food cost management
* Ensuring full compliance with COSHH, HACCP, and all food safety regulations
* Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong knowledge of food safety, COSHH, and HACCP practices
* Excellent cooking skills with a passion for local produce
* Proven leadership with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team
* Highly organised with strong administrative and time management skills
* Creative flair for menu development
* Resilient, reliable, and able to thrive under pressure
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
