Role Summary
We are looking for a self‑motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients’ various workshops in a designated area (North London and Essex) providing on‑site support for a wide range of vehicle types including HGVs, ground‑support GSE, RORO, fire and rescue, tractors, tugs and other bespoke platforms. The job is highly varied and each day presents new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Callouts
* Preventative Maintenance
* Emergency break‑downs
* Pre‑arranged servicing at rural sites
* MOT preparation
* Engine work and diagnostic investigations
* Correction of running defects
* Chassis and fabrication work
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Improvement of vehicle standards
* Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Qualifications & Requirements
* Fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician (or accredited through an authorised apprenticeship).
* A Class 2 licence is beneficial.
* Strong understanding of vehicle technology and ability to follow repair processes from fault analysis to completion.
* Ready to work within a 45‑hour week and travel across North London and Essex.
