Education/ qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse on NMC register.
2. Nursing degree in a cancer related subject
3. Specialist post registration qualification in cancer related subject (oncology / malignant Haematology)
4. Recognised SACT/Chemotherapy Qualification level 6 or above
5. Evidence of continued Professional Development
6. Master’s level qualification / able to demonstrate equivalent experience or willing to work toward.
7. Hold UKONS chemotherapy passport
Desirable criteria
8. •Advanced Assessment skills
9. •Advanced communication skills training
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
10. Extensive post registration experience relevant to the SACT setting at Band 7 or above
11. Experience in SACT day care setting.
12. Proven leadership and management skills & experience
13. Experience of contributing to the Clinical Governance agenda for Oncology Services
14. Experience of Writing Operational Policies / Protocols and Guidelines to support service development initiatives
15. Knowledge of cancer care pathways
Desirable criteria
16. •Contributing to Pathway Groups/ Clinical Forums
17. •Experience of working with national charities / professional forums to lead & promote the development of patient centred services.
