This particular role takes a multi-disciplinary approach to providing substance use intervention to service users with opiate, non-opiate and alcohol use difficulties. The service aspires to promote recovery and the long-term wellbeing individuals can achieve with the support of the service and from within their local community.
The post holder should have knowledge of the MAT standards alongside drug and alcohol policy context and be able to work with vulnerable adults - including those who have transient and unstable lifestyles. The nature of this post requires a high level of partnership and collaborative working across a range of teams and services.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of trauma and how substance use impacts on the service user and community. They should also be familiar or willing to become familiar with the recovery process clients in the service go through, including social work theory which suppor...
