As a company, we’re dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring everyone who works with us is committed, connected and creative in making us the world’s preferred choice.We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Senior Warehouse Operative - Nightshift to join our team in Wolverton, Milton Keynes (MK12 5PT).The role involves assisting with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and forklift operation, while following company and safety standards.The role will offer a salary of £32,432.09 and a shift allowance of £1,872 per annum with the shift of Sunday - Thursday 22:00 - 06:00hrs.Benefits:- 22 holiday days per year moving to 25 days following the completion of 5 full holiday years- Free parking- Opportunity for Unpaid Leave- Employee Referral Scheme- Cycle to Work scheme- Critical Illness Cover- Free online Fitness Platform i.e., Pilates & Yoga, Mindfulness/Meditation, 24/7 support, advice, diet and Nutrition- On Site Mental Health First Aiders- Employee benefits i.e., Free eye test, up to 25% off gym membership, high street vouchers- Free access to 24/7 online GP, mental health support service, Life Events Counselling, Care Concierge Service- Tailored development and career opportunitiesMain duties and responsibilities will include- Safely handle products during all inbound and outbound processes, ensuring adherence to company procedures.- Handle goods correctly to minimise damage and follow manual handling techniques to prevent injury.- Carry out other reasonable requests to support the effective operation of the warehouse.- Assist the Team Leader in coordinating daily tasks.- Act as the Team Leader during absences, managing shifts and communicating with management.- WMS SCALE experience is preferred.- Use manual handling equipment appropriately, as trained, to support operational processes when needed.- Forklift licenses with clamp experience are a plus.- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and take appropriate action if procedures are not followed or can be improved.- Conduct equipment checks according to procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.- Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and working instructions.- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer service.Key Skills:- Literate and numerate- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage- Operational experience of WMS SCALE- Experience in using RF scanners- Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage- Counterbalance, Reach or T20 experience/licence is advantageous- Ability to work as part of a team- Self-motivated and Flexible- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines- Deputise for the Team Leader where appropriateWe thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.Yusen Logistics is an equal opportunities employer, who encourages applications from all suitably qualified and eligible applicants regardless of their personal circumstances.
