Position Overview
We are looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to provide a holistic assessment of patients and their families using clinical judgment, specialist knowledge and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The role requires you to advocate for patients during the screening process and represent their views.
Location: York Hospital (travel across the trust footprint required). You will support the lead assessor nurse working with clinicians, program manager and other stakeholders to establish SOPs, policies and processes for the new lung screening service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist knowledge and information resources for multidisciplinary staff, colleagues, patients and families.
* Ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
* Support the lung screening team in delivering evidence‑based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
* Work within a high‑quality screening service to meet the needs of patients requiring screening.
* Assist with the flow of patients through the screening programme, supporting both clinical and non‑clinical MDT teams.
Requirements
* Hold a valid UK NMC PIN (must provide on application).

Relocation
The Trust offers a generous relocation package up to 30% of salary (capped at £18,000) for hard‑to‑fill positions. Discuss further with the recruiting manager during interview.
