Responsibilities
The Test Technician follows procedures to test newly manufactured products using volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other test equipment. When product does not meet specification, test equipment is used to debug RF, analog and digital electronics to the component level using only electronic schematics and knowledge of electronics.
* Test and calibrate product subassemblies and complete product.
* Record test results to document that product meets specifications.
* Repair both new product and field returns by debugging malfunctioning digital, analog, and RF circuitry to the component level (resistors, capacitors, op-amps, etc.).
* Inspect materials, products and equipment to detect defects or malfunctioning.
* Assist in the creation of new test procedures and recommend improvements to existing test procedures.
* Support the engineering department with testing of products in development.
Requirements
* AA in Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience required.
* Experience with Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and Network Analyzers.
* Knowledgeable in analog, digital, and RF electronic circuitry.
* Ability to read electronic schematics and troubleshoot problems to the component level.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
* Detail oriented and able to set priorities to meet production schedules and quality requirements
