Role: Brake Press Setter / Operator
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Hours: Monday-Thursday (7:30am-4:00pm) & Friday (7:30am-1:30pm) with some flexibility
Pay: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Job Type: 16 weeks Temporary, then opportunity to go permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Brake Press Setter/Operator to join one of our longstanding clients within the engineering and sheet metal fabrication sector, based in Worthing. This is a hands-on role working with brake press machinery, including CNC press brake machines, to fabricate metal parts to precise specifications.

The Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Brake Press Setter/Operator
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
* Experience working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
* Able to work independently as well as within a team
* Physically fit and able to handle materials as required
Desirable:
* Experience using CNC brake press machinery (e.g., Edwards Pearson, Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf)
* Relevant vocational engineering/manufacturing qualifications
The Role:
* Set up and operate brake press machinery safely and efficiently
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
* Select, install, and align suitable tooling and dies
* Adjust machine settings for speed, thickness, and bend angle
* Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and tolerances are met
* Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Support general warehouse duties when required
