Systems Engineer Duties:

As a key member of a small innovative team, our Engineer will need to be able to function in several different roles, from concept innovation to software development and system commissioning; ideally also able to provide leadership, planning and documentation on software projects, an ability and willingness to support, train and mentor less experienced team members.

Systems Engineer Requirements:

· Experience of developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA software:

* Primarily - Siemens TIA Portal
* Followed by - Allen Bradley Logix platform.
* Other PLC Brands also can be useful.
* Design of HMI Graphical Interface
* Integration of networking & Data systems
* VFD configuration & commissioning
* Safety Certified Software

· Experienced in commissioning and fault finding on automated systems.

· Although the role will primarily be office / workshop based it will also involve travel for fault finding/commissioning etc. as and when required.

· Time Served background with good hands-on Skills & Experience.

· Electrical & Instrumentation Systems Engineering Qualifications & Experience.

· Experienced in use of Autocad, Eplan or similar design tools.

· Familiarity with machinery safety issues such as, SIL & Design Risk assessments.

· Experience of ATEX regulations will also be advantageous.

· Training will be given where needed.

· Attitude and ability are as important as experience, so a quick learner with a good base from the above experiences will be of interest.

Positive self-motivated individuals with a 'can do' approach to new challenges should apply. Flexible hours and a degree of home-based working may be an option for the right candidate.
