Salary: Grade B £28,598 - £34,434 (subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review)
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Working within Deputy Director team focusing on PR and Communications / Social Marketing. This role is within Health Promotion Team and part of the Head of Office team. The Public Health Division works across the council plan and is responsible for strategic leadership to develop the council into a local authority that actively promotes population health.
Our vision is to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of Birmingham’s population by reducing inequalities and enabling people to help themselves.
This role will support the Senior Officer and the wider Public Health team in delivering Public Health campaigns across various channels. The role focuses on campaign delivery and stakeholder engagement across internal directorates, Integrated Care System, NHS trusts, third sector and commissioned services.
Qualifications
* Experience of working flexibly, proactively, in a matrix environment to ensure business objectives are met.
* Experience engaging a wide audience through social media channels and other social marketing methods.
* Knowledge or keen interest in Public Health priorities and the relevant policy environment.
* Ability to manage projects and scope projects, stating aims, objectives and milestones, underpinned by effective IT skills.
* Experience identifying and analysing a wide range of data sets and intelligence to inform work and communicate information and concepts to diverse audiences.
* Preparation of reports and presentations through collation and analysis of data to inform decision making.
* Planning and organising events, meetings and workshops from design stage to implementation.
* Sound communication skills including capability to utilise various social media types.
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
* Ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision.
* Motivated and enthusiastic self‑starter willing to learn new concepts and undertake additional training.
