The Department The Investment Banking Department provides a full range of corporate advisory and broking services, whether this be guiding clients through transactions (such as raising capital or merging with another company) or providing market and sector intelligence. The department is sector focused, operating across eight sector verticals (Consumer, Healthcare, Real Estate, Industrials, FIG, Investment Funds, TMT and Natural Resources), aligning the Investment Banking department to leverage Research analysts’ knowledge and sector intelligence. Dedicated ECM Syndicate, DCM, PCM, M&A, Private Equity Coverage and IR teams support the sector teams. The M&A team operates alongside the sector teams on potential and current transactions. The Analyst role provides constant exposure to the UK M&A market including corporate clients, other advisers and, where appropriate, institutional investors across all of the Investment Banking sector teams. Role responsibilities Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to: Provide support in the execution of corporate finance transactions, pitch book prep/oversight and marketing efforts in their assigned sector. Supporting the senior team wherever possible with analysis, research and due diligence Oversight of analysts assigned to specific projects in the sector team Preparing, building and reviewing financial models and valuation models for potential corporate client opportunities Drafting relevant corporate finance and related transactional documentation, project management and due diligence work streams Day-to-day liaison with corporate clients regarding stock market trends and developments Advising clients on the impact of the Takeover Code Liaising with the relevant regulatory bodies on the behalf of corporate clients Have an understanding of the regulatory environment, and values and abilities consistent with the FCA conduct rules.
