Job Description We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Client who import/export goods on a global scale. This role will be to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the wider business including ensuring the smooth running of the office on a daily basis. What You’ll Be Doing: * Working closely with external accountants * Managing short- and long-term cashflow forecasts and annual budgets * Producing weekly and monthly financial reports * Managing Sales & Purchase Ledger, credit control and payment runs * Processing payroll and related submissions * Completing bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations * Producing accounts up to trial balance and submitting VAT returns * Acting as the main point of contact for HMRC and other external bodies * Supporting office administration, basic HR and operational tasks * Providing direct support to the Managing Director What We’re Looking For: * Experience in a similar Finance Manager / Office Manager role * Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge * High proficiency in Excel and accounting software * Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently * Excellent attention to detail and communication skills * Positive, flexible and hands-on approach Benefits on Offer: * Salary of up to £35,000 (DOE) * A supportive working environment with a ...
