Our client is looking for an experienced carbon steel MMA welder to join their expanding team, delivering specialist on-site welding services for fuel tanks and fuel-system infrastructure across the UK. This role involves site work nationwide, operating across commercial, industrial, and agricultural environments.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out MMA (stick) welding on carbon steel fuel tanks, pipework, and associated structures
Perform repairs, modifications, reinforcement work, and small-scale fabrication
Complete on-site welding using mobile welding equipment
Follow strict safety and compliance procedures when working on fuel-bearing systems
Conduct site assessments and maintain safe working practices at all times
Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients
Requirements
Proven experience working as a carbon steel MMA welder (site work nationwide)
Strong understanding of hot-work safety procedures, particularly on fuel systems
Ability to work independently across multiple sites throughout the UK
Full UK driving licence
Relevant welding qualifications or time-served equivalent experience
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with current welding codes and standards
Valid CSCS card
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience working on fuel tanks or in hazardous-area environments
Additional welding or fabrication skills
Confined space or hot-work certification
