Job Title: School Business Manager Salary: £45,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Market Harborough Start Date: September 2026 Closing Date: Thursday 7th May at 12pm Interviews: Wednesday 13th May (venue TBC) School Business Manager New School Opening 2026 Our client is opening a brand-new specialist school in late 2026 for children and young people aged 519 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a planned capacity of 72 students, the school will offer a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive. They are now seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join the leadership team and play a key role in the planning, creation, registration, opening and ongoing running of the new provision. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a school from the ground up and help shape its culture, systems and long-term success. The Role As School Business Manager, you will be a core member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for leading and developing all support services within the school. You will ensure the provision of an efficient, safe, healthy and well-managed environment, aligned with the schools strategic aims and within budget. You will act with a high level of autonomy, taking responsibility for delegated budgets, resources and operational planning. A key part of the role will be creating, implementing and evaluating development plans to drive continuous improvement. As this is a new school in its development phase, you will also play a central role in recruiting and building an effective support team, contributing directly to the establishment of what is expected to become an outstanding provision.
