Role: 3x Procurement Buyers
Location: Bristol City Centre
Onsite: 4 days per week, WFH on Fridays
Salary: £33,000 – £50,000 basic + guaranteed bonus of £8,000 – £14,000

Experience Levels: We will consider candidates with anywhere from 1 year to 10 years of procurement experience.
Important: Due to the nature of Defence work, you MUST hold a British Passport or have previously held Security Clearance.
About the Role
We are seeking Procurement Officers/Buyers—ideally with Defence sector experience—to join an established Engineering & Defence Services SME based in central Bristol. We deliver complex manufacturing and critical services to Rolls‑Royce and the MoD and are expanding due to several new MoD contract wins.
You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operational procurement performance and will play a key role in delivering innovative supply chain solutions to support the company’s continued growth.
You must have purchase order management experience and already be working as a Buyer or Assistant Buyer (depending on the level you’re applying for).

Main Duties
• Convert Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders and issue to suppliers.
• Prepare, issue, and review supplier RFQs, recommending preferred options to stakeholders.
• Identify resolutions for critical path supply issues.
• Develop and maintain key supplier relationships and support supplier performance improvement.
• Manage Order Book activities, ensuring materials/components are procured in line with customer requirements and contractual lead times.
• Resolve goods‑in and invoice queries related to your order book.
• Maintain ERP data accuracy, including pricing and purchase requirements.
• Support the Procurement Manager with tendering and sourcing activities.
• Support strategic sourcing to ensure best‑practice procurement and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate and agree Terms & Conditions and contractual agreements, including KPI flow‑down and management.
Duties may be amended as required to meet business needs.

• Good understanding of procurement within a project‑led environment.
• Self‑motivated with a flexible approach to workload.
• Excellent IT skills (Excel essential).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Data analysis capability.
• Basic engineering understanding (desirable).
Experience & Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a procurement environment (essential).
• Degree‑level education or working towards it (desirable).
• CIPS membership (desirable but not essential).
• MRP/ERP experience (IFS desirable but not essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
