Learning Support Assistant Full time Temporary position Primary school based in Basingstoke £13.75 an hour Start date: ASAP We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary School based in Basingstoke to work on a full time, temporary basis with the view to go permanent for the right individual. Requirements: An enhanced child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one. Contact references covering the last 24 months and any schools worked at in the last 10 years. An up-to-date CV outlining career history. Proof of ID and two proofs of address. The successful candidate will have: Recent successful experience as an LSA within a primary setting or working with children. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above. Experience in or confidence to cover classes when necessary. A clear understanding of assessment for learning in order to feedback and respond effectively to pupil learning. Excellent positive behaviour management skills. A positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the role and the needs of the school. The skills to work independently and with initiative. The ability to plan, evaluate pupils' progress and adapt lesson plans when necessary. Acute self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to work well as part of a team.
