Finlayson Media Communications Ltd (FMC) is an award winning, dental communications company that connects the dental community and industry through a myriad of powerful channels encompassing online, print, webinars, social media, exhibitions, and awards.
The role:
We're looking for a creative videographer to bring our award-winning B2B media for dental professionals to life.
This hands-on role involves filming, editing and delivering high-quality, brand-aligned videos that combine visual creativity with editorial purpose.
You'll work within our content team to produce story-led videos, from interviews and practice profiles to social edits and weightier campaign content. Thriving on teamwork and creativity, you'll collaborate closely with our editors, designers and journalists to find new ways to deliver on our mission of informing and inspiring dental professionals across the UK.
This is a hands-on, fast-moving role that blends technical skill with narrative confidence: you'll be as comfortable filming a clinical explainer as you are producing a highlight reel from a major event or an interview with a leading industry figure.
If you're passionate about storytelling and ready to create content that makes an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
* Video production: plan, film and edit a wide range of video content – including interviews, explainers, event highlights, promotional campaigns, and social-first features.
* Storytelling and editorial alignment: work with our journalists to translate written stories, campaigns and event coverage into engaging video narratives consistent with our brand tone and editorial standards.
* Post-production: edit footage for multiple formats (YouTube, website, social reels, live screens), adding graphics, titles, captions and sound to produce polished, professional outputs.
* On-location filming: capture high-quality footage at events, conferences and practice locations, managing lighting, sound, and composition independently.
* Creative development: contribute ideas for new video formats, storytelling approaches and visual treatments that enhance our digital presence and audience engagement.
* Technical maintenance: Manage camera and audio equipment, lighting, storage, and archiving of footage, maintaining an organised workflow across our NAS and shared systems.
* Collaboration: Work with editorial, marketing and commercial teams to deliver projects that meet both creative and client needs without compromising editorial integrity.
* Brand consistency: Ensure all video output aligns with our visual identity, tone of voice and quality standards across platforms.
What we need from you:
* 2-5 years of proven experience in video production (shooting and editing) across digital and social platforms
* Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, Audition and Photoshop a plus)
* Strong sense of visual composition, pacing and storytelling
* Ability to plan shoots, manage logistics and work efficiently on location or in studio environments
* Understanding of lighting, audio capture and basic colour correction
* Excellent organisational and file management skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and balance multiple projects
* Creative mindset with attention to detail and consistency
* Experience in editorial, agency or media environments preferred (experience in healthcare or professional sectors advantageous)
* A portfolio of your recent work will strongly support your application
