Overview

Job Role: Medical Administrator

Location: Preston

Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.50

Immediate Start - Temp Contract

Aspion are seeking an experienced and highly organised NHS Administrator to join a clinical administration team with immediate effect. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within a GP practice or primary care setting. Proficiency in using the EMIS clinical system is essential. This is a critical role supporting clinical and operational staff to ensure high-quality patient care and contract compliance.


Responsibilities

* Support the administration of QOF and Quality Contract submissions, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
* Work closely with clinical teams to support chronic disease management programmes (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD).
* Monitor recalls, reviews, and patient registers to ensure contract requirements are met.
* Use EMIS Web to extract reports, update patient records, and manage appointment and recall systems.
* Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and external stakeholders.
* Assist with the organisation of clinics, sending invitations, and tracking patient compliance with annual reviews.
* Maintain accurate records in line with data protection and confidentiality policies.
* Provide general administrative support, including managing correspondence, scanning documents, and filing.


Desirable qualifications

* Understanding of QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework)
* Quality Contract monitoring, and chronic disease management pathways
* Experience with other NHS systems (e.g., Docman, AccuRx, Ardens).
* Knowledge of NHS clinical coding and SNOMED terminology.
* Previous experience supporting audits or inspections (e.g., CQC).

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
