Senior RFIC Design Engineer – SiGe/SOI Technologies
Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced RFIC design engineer to lead the development of high-performance RFICs in SiGe/SOI for advanced communications applications. This is a role for someone passionate about cutting-edge communications systems, who can bridge the gap between circuit-level design and full system performance and drive complex RFIC projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SiGe and/or SOI technologies, strong system-level understanding of RF circuits and will be technically proficient in the design of individual RF blocks (LNAs, mixers, VCOs, PAs, etc.). This varied and challenging role will involve guiding and mentoring junior engineers, while coordinating design activities across multiple projects, contributing to specification definition, project planning and technical reviews.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* 5+ years’ hands-on RFIC design experience in SiGe and/or SOI processes
* Proven expertise across multiple RF blocks – LNA, mixer, PA, VCO, switch, bias, PLL, etc.
* Strong background in RF system-level architecture and integration challenges
* Proficiency in industry-standard design and simulation tools – Cadence Virtuoso (schematic/layout), Calibre (DRC/LVS), Momentum or EMX (EM modelling), Keysight ADS (system-level and non-linear simulations)
* Good understanding of parasitics, packaging effects, substrate coupling and other high-frequency layout constraints
* Experience with lab equipment – VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators, etc.
* Strong leadership, planning and communication skills
* Degree in electrical/electronic engineering (BSc required; MSc/PhD preferred)
