An industry leading specialty chemicals manufacturer is looking to bring on an experienced Category Manager to support their organization's procurement strategy. This position would sit within a team that covers both direct and indirect categories for the organization - so experience in either is valued - and if you hold experience in both, that would be preferred! Key Responsibilities:
* Lead category strategy development and supplier management for designated categories and projects.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align with strategic direction and business priorities.
* Ensure cost savings, quality, and adherence to contracts.
* Benchmark costs and build long-term supplier relationships.
* Oversee contract compliance and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of Procurement/Sourcing/Category Management experience
* Proven experience in chemicals or electronics industries is preferred
* ERP system experience, SAP preferred
