Community Connex support people with a learning disability, autistic people, those experiencing disadvantages, and their families to help them live healthier, happier and inclusive lives. We have a flexible, responsive and inclusive service. We offer a wide variety of volunteering opportunities. What You'll Do Prepare simple hot and cold meals (e.g., soups, pasta dishes, jacket potatoes, stews). Set up the dining area so it feels welcoming and accessible to all. Follow basic food hygiene and safety guidance (training provided). Work alongside staff and volunteers to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Tidy up at the end of the session with support from other volunteers. What You'll Gain Training in food hygiene and infection control. Training and experience supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities. The satisfaction of knowing your food brings comfort and connection to local residents. A chance to meet new people and be part of a supportive volunteer team. Experience cont ributing to a meaningful community wellbeing project in Pinner Green. Out of pocket expenses paid for As a volunteer, you will need to be: Someone who enjoys preparing food and sharing it with others. Friendly, reliable and happy to support a community focused early evening session. Comfortable volunteering once a week or occasionally - we're flexible. No professional cooking experience required, just enthusiasm and kindness.
