Barbourne Brook seeks an experienced Customs Duty Consultant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate would work alongside our existing team of consultants and responsibilities include:
1. Developing and delivering innovative solutions to resolve clients' customs duty issues, managing client relationships and identifying their needs and drivers; highlighting risks and opportunities.
2. A working knowledge of all core customs areas, with in-depth knowledge of one or more special procedures.
3. Project and time management skills to deliver client work on time and within budget with minimal support.
4. Contribute to developing junior colleagues by delegating appropriately, mentoring and training.
5. Keep up to date with technical developments and can research new issues effectively.
6. Contribute to the development of innovative ideas and solutions.
Based in Worcester, we offer hybrid working and flexibility with the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week (depending on where the successful candidate is based) thus offering a good work/life balance. We hold group face-to-face meetings every other month and enjoy regular team dinners.
Established in 2019, we are a fast-growing UK-based technology-driven customs consultancy. Customs is at the heart of what we do, and we have developed an exciting, innovative software solution that forms a key part of our business. We pride ourselves on strong professional development. Our team members continually develop their skills through regular internal training, paving the way for career progression. The office culture is supportive, friendly and collaborative and the successful candidate would possess the necessary attributes to be a good fit.
We have separated the commercial from the technical aspect of the role, meaning consultants have no sales and marketing targets. Thus, consultants can focus on technical delivery and client service. We have successfully developed a growing business development and marketing function that engages with a range of UK-based clients, many of whom are household names. We believe in hands-on development of technical solutions and services to our clients, with excellent client service and attention to detail.
