Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Test Lead to join our dynamic team.
As a Software Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts of our software products, ensuring their quality and reliability before release. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, develop test plans, execute test cases, and report on test results. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the testing efforts for our software products, including defining testing strategies, developing test plans, and executing test cases.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into test cases.
3. Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to increase test coverage and efficiency.
4. Manage and prioritize testing tasks, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
5. Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
6. Mentor and provide guidance to junior testers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Communicate test progress, results, and risks to stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and development teams.
9. Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Software Test Lead or similar role, with a minimum of X years in software testing.
3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
4. Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
9. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
