We are looking for an Apprentice, Financial Reporting to join the Finance team at Liverpool FC.The Financial Reporting Apprentice will play a key role in supporting the team with the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. This entry-level position is ideal for someone beginning their finance career and offers a blend of hands-on experience and formal study toward a recognised accounting or finance qualification.In this role, the apprentice will gain practical exposure to financial reporting, controls, and compliance while developing core accounting knowledge and professional skills. They will work collaboratively across multiple departments to support the delivery of high‑quality financial information.What will you be doing?Under supervision and with appropriate training, the apprentice will:Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport the production of statutory accounts and regulatory returnsHelp maintain accurate financial records and reconciliationsAssist with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysisSupport data collection and validation for reporting purposesHelp ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policiesAssist during audits by preparing schedules and responding to basic queriesMaintain documentation and working papers to a high standardCarry out general finance administration tasks as requiredParticipate actively in training, development activities, and apprenticeship courseworkWho are we looking for?Strong Academic backgroundHighly numerate with strong attention to detailAbility to work well as part of a teamGood communication skills ad interpersonal skills, with a view to gaining regular feedback at all levelsProficient ability with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft ExcelAbility to manage priorities simultaneously with tight timeframes whilst keeping a close eye on prioritiesStrong collaboration to foster close relationships across different levelsWhy should you apply?This isa full-time apprenticeship position working35hours per week.
